THE CREOSOTE BROTHERS
Alan's has moved to Italy now and there's some really nice new songs being written in that far off land. As soon as he returns the Creosotes will do the odd gig, with various 'guests' that Alan has picked up on the way home!!
ANDREA AND ALAN BIRCH
Great times doing this, but now over. Such a shame as the project, (Old Time, with Al on banjo and guitar and Andrea on bass) looked and sounded good.
NICKY VERE COMPTON
March 2009 Nicky and myself took a break as I have to concentrate on both my band and my album. Meanwhile Nicky continues to perform solo and with Les Ray (below) sometimes at Cambridge Folk Club.
LES RAY & THE STREETSCREAMERS
Les wrote a song about some strange killings in Mexico by an unknown assailant: a long ballad with Les featured on vocals and guitar, and myself adding some accordion. This is now available on Les' myspace. The address is: http://www.myspace.com/lesandthestreetscreamers
THE PORRIES
Now here's a novelty. On various occasions we are asked to play the strange or 'different' gig. With this in mind, the band (myself, Carol, Vince along with Rachel Chadwick decided to form The Porries! A group of two whistle players, bodhran, mandolin, accordion, and cittern (with the odd guitar bit) that play S cottish and Shetland tunes and songs. We don't go public with this one but it sure is good craic.
THE FAHTER FAMILY
Another collaboration concert group, (as with The Porries). This time with Russ and Pauline. Had a great time as an Ol' Time band playing white gospel with beards on!! Makes a good break doing these crazy things once in a while, and they're so much fun.
